March 13, 2020 Update

Dear Valued Attendees,

Following recent reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and due to the increasing number of travel bans being placed on health care providers, hospitals and institutions, out of an abundance of caution, we have made the necessary decision to cancel Update in Nephrology and Hypertension 2020.

Please note the following important points for registered attendees:

  • Attendees who have made reservations at hotels will need to cancel reservations on their own. Cancellation is subject to the terms of your individual reservation.
  • Attendees have the opportunity to transfer their registration fee payment for the 2020 conference to Update in Nephrology and Hypertension 2021, taking place April 10, 2021 at the Omni Downtown Jacksonville.To opt-in to have your registration transferred, fill out our online form: Update in Nephrology 2021 Registration Transfer Opt-In by April 10, 2020. All those who do not fill out the form will have their registration fee refunded automatically after this date.
  • FAQ’s, past and additional updates will be posted and archived to https://neph.cme.ufl.edu/COVID-19/

Why is Update in Nephrology and Hypertension 2020 canceled?

Following recent reports from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and due to the increasing number of travel bans being placed on health care providers, hospitals and institutions, out of an abundance of caution, we have made the necessary decision to cancel Update in Nephrology and Hypertension 2020.

Will Update in Nephrology and Hypertension 2020 be postponed until a later date or rescheduled?

Update in Nephrology and Hypertension will take place April 10, 2021 at the Omni Downtown Jacksonville. Attendees have the opportunity to transfer their registration payment from the 2020 event to the 2021 event until April 10, 2020. All registrations will be automatically refunded after this date.

Will attendees and exhibitors be refunded for hotel costs?

No, the conference will not refund hotel costs. Attendees must contact their hotel/lodging directly to cancel reservations. Cancellation is subject to the terms of your individual reservation.

Will attendees and exhibitors be refunded for airline tickets?

No. The conference will not refund individual airline ticket costs. Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps.

Will paid attendee and exhibitor badge registrations be refunded?

Payments and registrations for both attendees and exhibitors can be transferred to Update in Nephrology and Hypertension 2021. If your would like your registration and payment transferred, please fill out our Opt-In Forms below by April 10, 2020:

All those who do not fill out the form will have their registration fee refund automatically processed after this date.

Will any sessions be made available virtually?

As of right now, the sessions will not be made available virtually. Any changes to this will be communicated to registrants via email and posted online.
